Goethe Kino
Goethe-Kino is the Goethe-Institut London’s monthly series of films dedicated to highlighting contemporary German cinema and TV productions. All movies are shown with English subtitles unless otherwise specified. Occasionally, there are also partner screenings at various film houses across London, as well as talks hosted with German film directors. The screenings take place at the Goethe-Institut London in South Kensington on the last Wednesday of the month. Following the in-house screenings, films are available for streaming for a month via the Goethe-Institut’s free film screening platform.
Digital content, communications, and editorial lead
(June 2021 - December 2024)
Between June 2021 and December 2024, I managed the Goethe-Institut UK’s website and social media channels. One of the many cultural projects I contributed to the production and delivery of was Goethe Kino. Working closely with partner organisations, I collated texts, images and other promotional materials to create informative and promotional materials for the screenings and talks. I regularly compiled data-driven reports on ticket sales, viewership figures and demographics, which I utilised to shape digital strategies and shared with partner organisations.
Other responsibilities included attending internal stakeholder meetings to coordinate project timelines, preparing and maintaining the Goethe-Institut UK’s Goethe Kino webpage with our custom-built CMS, publishing talks with film directors on YouTube, translating and proofreading texts, preparing promotional social media materials with Canva, and posting them on Facebook, Instagram, X and Eventbrite.
