Talking Culture

As manager, producer, and host, I was the sole team member responsible for every stage of Talking Culture’s production and distribution. My responsibilities included researching and preparing interview questions, booking guests, preparing contracts, updating the webpage, developing promotional materials and processing invoices. I also recorded and hosted episodes, edited and published audio and metadata, and compiled regular performance reports to shape digital strategies.

When I took on the project, I had no prior experience in podcast production or hosting. I taught myself through online resources and tutorials, gaining proficiency in the use of audio recording equipment and software, including Hindenburg, Audacity, Auphonic, Riverside FM, Headliner, and Stationista. This self-taught expertise enabled me to deliver a polished series that effectively communicated the Goethe-Institut’s cultural mission to international audiences.
