Talking Culture
Manager, producer, and host
(June 2021 - December 2022)
As the sole team member behind the Talking Culture podcast, I managed every stage of its production and distribution. My responsibilities included researching and preparing interview questions, booking guests, preparing contracts, updating the podcast webpage via a custom CMS, creating promotional materials with Canva and Headliner, compiling regular data reports to inform digital strategies, and processing invoices.
On the audio production side, I hosted and recorded conversations on Riverside FM, edited episodes with Auphonic, Audacity, and Hindenburg, and published and distributed metadata and final audio files through Stationista. When I took on the project, I had no prior experience in podcast production or hosting; I taught myself through online resources and tutorials, quickly gaining proficiency with recording equipment and editing software. This self-taught expertise enabled me to deliver a polished podcast series that successfully communicated the Goethe-Institut’s cultural mission to international audiences.
