Œ Magazine is an independent, Berlin-based fashion magazine focused on storytelling through captivating imagery. One of its exclusive offerings is the Œditorial series, which combines a fashion editorial shoot and interview with on-trend, culturally sharp figures from across the creative sector. To ensure the magazine remains sustainable and supportive of emerging fashion talent, clothes are traditionally sourced from local, independent designers.

In March 2023, Œ Magazine published Abyssal Zone, featuring DJ Lucia Lu (real name Lucia Luciano), a Berlin-raised electronic music artist and co-founder of the queer hip-hop collective and party, Hoe_mies. For this shoot, Luciano was envisioned as a siren-like sea creature, drawing on her affinity with the element of water, and her resilience and re-emergence following the near-drowning experience of being unfairly ‘cancelled’ for her involvement in the Spotify podcast series Realitäter*innen, which she co-hosted with fellow Hoe_mies co-founder Meg10. The accompanying interview delved into Berlin’s queer hip-hop scene, cancel culture, and curating parties with a mission.
